Roles & Responsibilities

1. Responsible for debugging software products through the use of systematic tests to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards for company products.
2. Develops, modifies, and executes software test plans, automated scripts, and programs for testing.
3. Analyzes and writes test standards and procedures.
4. Maintains documentation of test results to assist in debugging and modification of software.
5. Analyzes test results to ensure existing functionality and recommend corrective action.
6. Consults with development engineers in the resolution of problems.
7. Provides feedback in preparation of technical appraisals of programming languages, systems, and computation software.
8. Ensures quality computer integration into the overall functions of scientific computation, data acquisition, and processing.
9. Explains facts, policies, and practices related to the job area.
10. Works on projects of limited scope and complexity.  Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained. 
11. Uses company standard policies and procedures to resolve issues in which answers can be readily obtained. 
12. Work is reviewed regularly by a supervisor or more senior peers.
